Anidros

Anidros is an original fantasy novella written in Interlingue (later translated to Interlingua), set on a mysterious island in the Aegean Sea that has remained isolated from the rest of Greece for centuries. Its inhabitants descend from an ancient pre-Greek population and live under a permanent darkness created by a powerful enchantment intended to protect the island from invaders. The story is narrated by a young man from the nearby island of Ios who is shipwrecked during a storm and brought to Anidros, where he meets King Qiqeru, Princess Melia and the enigmatic priest Titiqu. As he learns more about the island and its strange society, he discovers that the legends surrounding Anidros conceal a much darker truth and that his arrival may be connected to an ancient prophecy. Guided by the princess and taught magic in the island's forgotten language, he becomes involved in the struggle to free Anidros from the enchantment that has held it captive for centuries. The book also includes an appendix describing the constructed language of Anidros, created specifically for the story.
