Juliade is an original novella written in Interlingua. Framed as a memoir written by Julio, a Roman navigator from Gades, it recounts how a storm blows his ship far off course across the ocean, carrying him and his crew through a series of remote, Pacific-like islands. Written as a chronicle addressed to his own descendants, the novella follows Julio's encounters with the island peoples he finds along the way, and reflects throughout on empire, faith, and what it means to carry Roman identity far from Rome itself.
