La predicajo di Hakum

La predicajo di Hakum is an original short fantasy story in Ido, set in the fictional kingdom of Hakum. It tells the story of Prince Hak, who refuses to obey Emperor Kazhul when he orders his subjects to worship him as a god. After the destruction of Hakum, Hak and a small group of loyal subjects flee into the northern mountains, where the kingdom is hidden from the empire by the magic of the sorcerer Zhukal. Hak is placed under an enchanted sleep, while his infant son escapes and is raised in secret by a shepherd family. Eighteen years later, the young Hak discovers his true identity and learns of the destiny awaiting him. Determined to fulfil his mission, he enters the imperial army and eventually rises to a position close to Emperor Kazhul himself. The story combines fantasy, religious themes, hidden identity, prophecy, resistance and the return of a lost kingdom.
